Speaking of Spring

We live in South Carolina. The temperatures are usually pretty mild, and we love it. I’m not usually a fan of winter, unless there’s snow, because I’m just not crazy about the cold. The past two weeks have been pretty amazing here though. We had three days of beautiful snowfall almost two weeks ago, then last week our temperatures were in the 60’s and 70’s! You better believe our family was out in it every day! There’s something renewing about the snow and the change to spring. It usually doesn’t come within a weeks time, but I’ll take it!

All this whirlwind of weather has me thinking about preparing my outdoor spaces for playing with my kids in the open air. I’m reminded of our first home. My husband, Robert, and I got married in the year 2000 and bought a little mill house in a dollhouse of a neighborhood. That’s where I really began to create, renovate, and decorate, as many new brides and grooms do. This is the basis for “Crafting Our Life” journey.

There’s something rewarding about planting seeds, caring for them, and watching them grow. I know we will have more cold weather before it really gets warm, but this little touch of spring has filled me with anticipation for what’s to come! Feeling thankful.

Next week, I’m planning to show a couple of renovation projects we did in this first home. Stay tuned!
